Federated National Land Sponsors Women in Housing and Finance Tour of Major Redevelopment Project

July 19, 2018 (New York, N.Y.)—Federated National Land sponsored the sold-out Women in Housing Finance tour of the Essex Crossing project in Manhattan, joining WHF members and guests at the annual event celebrating new developments and neighborhood improvements.

“We are delighted to sponsor WHF’s summer tour of this impressive project,” said Federated National Land Senior Vice President and Counsel Julia Solo. “We’re proud to support WHF’s informational and networking programs and contribute to this group’s professional development efforts for women in finance and housing roles throughout New York City.”

The Essex Crossing project on the historic Lower East Side comprises nine sites containing residential buildings and commercial spaces. WHF members and guests began the tour at 175 Delancey Street, known as the Rollins building. They also viewed presentations by representatives L&M Development Partners.

WHF-NY Board Members MyPhuong Chung and Tatiana Pena organized the tour. Ms. Chung is involved in the site as an architect and a member of the local community board.

The $1.5 billion Essex Crossing development will include 560 affordable and 530 market rate apartments along with retail space with tenants that include Target, Regal Cinemas, and Trader Joe’s. NYU Langone will occupy a portion of the project and The International School of Photography will move to the site.
