The Third Party Transfer Program (TPT) allows the City of New York, following a foreclosure judgment, to transfer title of tax delinquent residential properties to the nonprofit Neighborhood Restore Housing Development Fund Corporation. Neighborhood Restore works with the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development to oversee the management and plans for the rehabilitation of these properties. Qualified developers acquire the properties from Neighborhood Restore, ensuring they are preserved as affordable rental housing that helps stabilize neighborhoods.
Federated National Land worked closely with the City of New York and Neighborhood Restore to provide full title services for 40 distressed buildings throughout Queens and Brooklyn that were included in an In Rem Tax Foreclosure Action by the city and transferred to Neighborhood Restore Housing Development Corporation through the Third Party Transfer Program.
